Presented by Corina Gutiérrez, serving as the Director of Community Advocacy at the State of New Mexico Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons, this workshop aims to foster cultural sensitivity among its attendees in their interactions with individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Late Deafened. Throughout this workshop, participants will:

• Develop a foundational understanding of Deaf culture.
• Acquire valuable insights and strategies for effective communication with Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals.
• Explore the range of available technologies designed to support those with hearing impairments.
